During this week, we said goodbye to our hosts and local friends. It was a bitter sweet moment. We went to Gazoz cafe one last time, had our usual order and our last conversation with the workers there. We visited Pak Minto and his family. We hugged and cried. We drove home and began to get ready to travel. We deep cleaned our host home to make sure the next team has a clean area and attempted to re-pack. Sadly some things had to be left behind. The next morning we woke up early to take a ferry back to Singapore and spent the day there which was incredibly fun! In the morning we took a flight to Bangkok. Our director had told us that Bangkok was not for the weak and she was right. We arrived 2 hours later than expected to our train station but luckily, we had planned for it so we didn’t miss our train. We hopped on an overnight train which was actually super fun! I was on the bottom bed so I had a window. Thailand is so beautiful and I enjoyed seeing God’s creation as we drove through.

We arrived to Chiang Mai and spend the day getting to know the area. We also celebrated the 4th of July with burgers, hot dogs and the national anthem. The next morning, we said goodbye to the boys as their ministry was in Chiang Dao and met our host.
